Sleep DeprivationSLEEP for 9125 days? Ok, you figure it: If you live to be 75, and sleep 8 hrs per night, how long will you be unconscious? Is that what you want? To be unconscious for 25 years of your life?. Well I figured this out years ago, and cut my bed time to a maximum of 6 hrs per night. This gave me 2 extra hours of fun/productivity per day, or 57,750 more conscious hours to my life. To put it another way, If you and I both die at age 75, I will have lived (consciously) for 8.33 more years than you did. How much is that worth, especially since my last days will be spent, not in pain or in waiting for death, but actively pursuing my chosen avocations of which I have many. Now that I have established my credentials for membership in the NUTBALL SOCIETY, (Actually exists by the way), may I point out the down side to running around with bags under your eyes. Statistically speaking, there are enormous numbers of people wandering around suffering from sleep deprivation. If their drive is strong enough, they can do it for some time, but at great cost to their physical well being. Most of these people believe that that the extra hours they put in at their job, or what ever they are doing are necessary to get the job done, and this is often the case. Unfortunately they do not realize that their efficiency is way down, their creativity suffers, and their judgment is impaired . See Stress. If you must drive yourself for a period of time, at least eat a balanced Menu with lots of fruits and vegetables, and stay away from stimulants Drugs, or sweets; See PAIN. problem.
